Since the end of September, employees from around 30 Bertelsmann companies around the world have been able to register for the sessions of the first international, cross-divisional and digital “Kollegen-Campus” (Colleague Campus), and the feedback has been enormous. The first courses were fully booked within minutes. So far, a total of 4,700 registrations have been received and more than 1,700 employees are currently on the waiting list. The demand for the interactive workshops offered for smaller groups – with 20 participants on average – was especially high. The Colleague Campus team is pleased that, with the consent of more than 20 trainers, 25 additional dates are being offered for these courses. For example, there are free slots in the workshops “Alles remote? – Mit Miro klappen Workshops auch aus dem Wohnzimmer” and “Programmieren lernen mit Scratch”. The people on the waiting lists for these offers were informed about the additional dates last week. The other courses on the program, which offer a total of around 13,000 slots, also still have capacity, for example in the sessions “Nimm’s zweimal: Bilder und Texte zweitverwenden – so geht’s” or “Introduction to Web Development. Learn how to build and host your own website from scratch”.
In some sessions, the Colleague Campus offers up to 200 colleagues the possibility to take part in the virtual event. The Colleague Campus now offers a total of around 160 German and English-language sessions on various topics. The updated schedule with the available course dates is attached below for anyone who may be interested. The first courses will begin on November 3. If anyone has signed up for a workshop but cannot participate, the Colleague Campus team kindly requests that they cancel via Peoplenet in order for others on the waiting list to get a chance to move up.
This year,“#BeALearnfluencer" is the slogan for the Colleague Campus initiated by Bertelsmann University. The format, originally developed by Gruner + Jahr, was hosted last year by the Corporate Center and Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland in the form of in-person events. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions in place because of it, this year’s campus is taking place entirely online for the first time, which allows for it to be held across divisions and worldwide.
